, o álbum "El Profeta" (1978), do tecladista e compositor uruguaio Armando Tirelli, é uma obra conceitual de rock progressivo baseada nos escritos do famoso livro homônimo do poeta libanês Khalil Gibran. Passio Secundum Mattheum 1972
ENGLISH :
Here I will cite just a few examples of rare progressive rock LPs, which have philosophical and religious themes. A large number of bands have the names of philosophers, such as Novalis (Germany). The famous Italian album by Museo Rosenbach (Thus Spoke Zarathustra) is one of the many examples. Armando Tirelli (solo) Uruguay (South America) has an LP which, modesty aside, I was the first to bring to Brazil in the 80s, on a trip I made to Uruguay. I brought 15 LPs which went viral among national progressive rock collectors. It's a beautiful double-cover LP, and it even came with a "chain and crucifix" in a small bag along with the LP. A rarity. Finally, not only Christian themes in progressive rock, but also Hindu themes (like the famous Yes album (Tales from Topographic Oceans) inspired by Yogananda's book (Autobiography of a Yogi)). Grand Funk was a band with roots in Christianity, and Creedence Clearwater Revival was from a Christian sect in the U.S.A. In the "dark" part we have bands inspired by Occultism and Black Magic (Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, etc...). In progressive rock we have Atomic Rooster (U.K.). In Italy, the famous Antonius Rex. And also Goblin and Daemonia (projects of keyboardist Claudio Simonetti). Here are some rare albums for you to research:
